What Makes Dr. Sharp’s Approach Different
Dr. Sharp’s work blends precision, warmth, and curiosity. She’s active, goal-oriented, and deeply collaborative—meeting clients with a calm, stabilizing presence and a toolkit grounded in neuroscience and evidence-based care.
Clients often say they feel safe being fully honest with her—even about parts of themselves they usually hide in therapy. There’s no judgment here. Just a grounded, compassionate space to explore what’s not working—and transform it.
Together, you’ll follow a structured, flexible process:
- Clarify and Align: Identify patterns that are no longer serving you and name the life you want to move toward.
- Tailor the Approach: Together choose interventions that fit your needs—whether that’s EMDR, IFS, somatic tools, or CBT.
- Practice, Test, Adjust: Apply tools in and out of session, using real-life feedback to refine what works best for you.
- Consolidate Change: Strengthen your internal support system, so that progress is sustainable—long after therapy ends.
Intellectually Rigorous. Emotionally Grounded. Rooted in Real-World Insight.
Dr. Amy Sharp didn’t take the traditional path into psychology—and that’s what makes her work so impactful. With a background in science and a strong analytical mind, she brings a practical, structured lens to therapy. But what sets her apart is her ability to meet clients with deep compassion, curiosity, and calm—especially when they’re feeling stuck, ashamed, or overwhelmed.
After stepping away from a Ph.D. program in genetics, Dr. Sharp began her own journey of transformation. That personal turning point shaped how she now helps others: by blending clinical excellence with lived experience, and pairing thoughtful insight with grounded, actionable change.
Clients who work with Dr. Sharp describe feeling both challenged and supported—seen for who they are, and empowered to become who they want to be.
